Several thousand U.S. and foreign patent applications are filed each year. The increasing number of Federal Circuit patent opinions and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) becoming the new battlefield for patent wars should serve as a reminder of the need to do things right on the front end for quality patent applications that will result in strong, enforceable claims.
