Stephen J. Kontos to Present on Federal Circuit Decision, Berkheimer v HP Inc. at AIPLA Teleconference

Southfield, MI (March 15, 2018) – Stephen J. Kontos of Bejin Bieneman will be participating in the AIPLA Patent Law Committee (Hot Topics Program Subcommittee) Teleconference on March 20, 2018 at 1:00 EST.

The teleconference will focus on three recent Federal Circuit decisions and a petition for cert requesting Supreme Court review of a fourth Federal Circuit decision. Mr. Kontos will be discussing Berkheimer v. HP Inc., where the Federal Circuit discussed whether certain issues of patent eligibility are questions of fact that must be proven by clear and convincing evidence. The other decisions that will be discussed include: Aatrix Software, Inc. v. Green Shades Software, Automated Tracking Solutions v. Coca Cola, and Cleveland Clinic Foundation v. Tue Health Diagnostics LLC.
