Charles Bieneman to Speak at USPTO 2017 Business Methods Partnership Meeting

Detroit, MI (August 28, 2017) – The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is hosting its 2017 Business Methods Partnership Meeting on Wednesday, September 20 from 1-4pm ET at the USPTO campus in Alexandria, Virginia. Charles Bieneman, of Bejin Bieneman PLC, is one of the featured speakers at the event.

Presentations will include:

  • Technology Center Director’s updated focus on trends and current initiatives
  • How to identity eligibility subject matter in the Business Method area
  • Current training activities
  • Practitioner’s tips for overcoming 35 U.S.C. 101 rejections
  • Round table discussion on the examination process

Mr. Bieneman will be speaking on tips for overcoming Section 101 rejections in the wake of Alice Corp. v. CLS Bank Corp. and its progeny.  The event is free, open to the public, and will be webcasted to include viewing sessions at USPTO regional offices in Dallas, Denver, Detroit, and San Jose.

According to the UPSTO website, “the BMPM was established to create a collaborative forum providing attendees with the opportunity to meet and share ideas, experiences, and insights with management from the Business Methods Technology Center.”
